What Time Is It?
SUMMERTIME!
That's right, school is out. I took my one and only final yesterday (a Civil War History class final, which I totally rocked, by the way :) ) and Jesse takes his two today, and then we can enjoy a nice 4 month summer break. What are we going to do during this nice 4 month break?... WORK! fun, huh. Jesse starts full time at his job next week, working 8-5 Monday-Friday, which will be nice on the paycheck, but it will be weird to have him gone all day every day. I decided that I'm going to get into making baby blankets with the crocheted edges. I learned how to do them a long time ago and made a couple of them, but I have no clue where they are now. I also plan on reading a whole bunch. After taking a Civil War class this last semester, I have a whole list of books that my professor has recommended we read, and I plan on doing just that. I will also be working, but who knows how many hours I'll end up getting or what days I'll be working. Jesse is determined to get me camping sometime this summer too. I don't know if he'll actually be able to get me to go though. I keep telling him that we need to plan some fun vacation, but it probably won't happen.. he's not very good at planning things :) Oh, and one other very fun and exciting event that I will be attending this summer- JOSH GROBAN CONCERT!! He's coming to Salt Lake in August and my lovely mother got me, my sister and her tickets! It will be great fun. So that's our summer plan so far.
As for next fall semester... We were originally planning on moving up to Logan and going to USU, but after finding out that they won't accept most of Jesse's credits, we decided that that would be a huge mistake, so we are staying here and we will be a Weber. I'm very happy about it, because I love my department here, and Weber is the only place that has a Public History minor, which I'm doing. And our school color is purple, Justin Bieber's favorite color. It doesn't get much better than that. We're hoping to move into our own apartment somewhere in the Layton area before school starts, so I guess that means we will be apartment shopping this summer too.Hopefully we find something that will fit into our poor man's budget...

An Attempt to be Healthy
Jesse and I are attempting to be a little healthier. Since we are both so addicted to soda and sweet stuff, like cookies and cupcakes, we have decided to completely stop eating those types of sugar and completely stop drinking soda. So I went to the store and got a few things to eat, like carrots and celery, salad and apples, bananas, strawberries and yogurt and some juice. So now when we want something sweet, we will be forced to eat a strawberry instead of a cookie. We have this awesome smoothie maker we got for our wedding that we've never used, so we're going to try that out a lot too. We decided to only do it for a week and then see if we're up for more. I've read that if you stop eating stuff like that for even just a week, you end up not wanting to go back to eating it, so hopefully that's what we can do...

Food Storage is Fun!
I never thought I would be excited to start my own food storage, but last night Jesse and I got to go to our ward's dry pack night and I had tons of fun! We got a good start on some food storage, 12 cans of dry stuff!.. Yum. Our ward will be doing this once a month for the next few months and I sure want to try and go every time. Who would've thought that buying food storage would satisfy my need to shop :)

Not So Sweet Dreams
You know how couples always say cheesy things to each other when they're going to bed like "Sweet Dreams" and "I'll be dreaming of you". Well I have learned that it's not good for me to tell Jesse that I'll be dreaming of him, because every time I dream about him, I usually wake up really upset. I have no idea why I do this, but the dreams that involve Jesse are some of the worst dreams I've ever had; whether it's that he leaves me for another woman or he dies, they're never good. I have them quite frequently too, and I'm really getting sick of it. Last night I had one and when I woke up I was actually crying. I don't think it's normal for people to have nightmares about their spouse... and I think I need help.

Let's Go Fly a Kite
Today was BEAUTIFUL weather... 65 degrees!!! So Jesse and I took a quick trip to Walmart and bought us some $3 kites to go fly in a park. I got a Princess one (of course) and Jesse got one with the penguins from Madagascar. My mom took us and my brother to a park to fly them! There they all are in the air!! Jesse said he hasn't flown a kite since 5th grade and he had a blast!I think this will be a common occurrence for us this summer :)
