31 Weeks and 15 Months

Well, looks like I can't keep up with my original goal of blogging every day, but I've gotten a little better at least...
Yesterday was my 31 week check up with my doctor- I'm down to single digits! And I am so not ready! My doctor told me that baby boy is still feet first- which totally makes sense, because every time he kicks I almost pee my pants, it's just great :) And his little head is right in my ribs so I can't bend over without not being able to breathe, and sometimes I can't bend over at all.  Doctor told me that he has 4 weeks to flip himself on his own or they'll force him to flip- sounds extremely uncomfortable and painful.  Other than that all is looking good- just wish I could find some motivation to clean, dejunk and get ready for him now :)

Walter is going to be 15 months tomorrow! I can't believe how big and smart he is getting! He's such a little boy now- no longer a baby :( but he has the silliest personality that I just love.  He absolutely loves kitties, and meows every time he sees one or even hears someone talk about one.  He is very serious when he talks, and even though he can't really say any words yet- you can tell he means business when he is talking to you, he furrows his eyebrows and points his finger at whatever it is he is talking about and he gets more and more demanding the longer it takes you to figure out whatever he wants.  He loves to play with cars and play swords (my mom has a ton of them at her house and he loves to just walk around the whole house carrying them) He thinks it's hilarious when someone gets hurt, that's really the only time that you can get him to laugh really hard.  I think he is starting to transition to 1 nap a day.  He goes a couple days with just 1 nap and then will have 1 or 2 days where he takes 2 still.  He's a picky eater- hates anything with bread or tortillas, and loves mac and cheese.  He gets really sad when he has to say goodbye to anyone.  He loves to watch birds and planes when we are outside.  He likes to try and dress himself, and he loves to help daddy get his shoes on in the morning.  He even tries to say "shoes" but all that comes out is "shhh".  He can roar like a lion and dragon, and he can almost tell you what a monkey says but hasn't quite figured it out yet.  When you ask him what a horse says he says "yeehaw".  His way of saying "yes" to a question is by him laughing.  If he doesn't laugh it means "no". Pretty sure he is a lefty, like his mom and dad.  He loves to check our mail and he has to be the one to open all the letters.  Whenever someone gets frustrated or upset around him, he automatically thinks he's in trouble and will bury his head in his hands and get the pouty lip- it's adorable.  He likes to jam out to Backstreet Boys in the car with me :)  He sure is a goofy little kid with a big attitude sometimes, but he is also the sweetest most sensitive little guy who knows how to melt your heart in a second! I love him to death!!

 He loves cucumbers!

 And I love him!

Miracles

This week has been a long one, but because of the events that took place, I now have a stronger testimony of the Gospel, of families, and of prayer.  My little nephew Sway was in a drowning incident that nearly cost him his life on Tuesday.  He was airlifted from St. George to Primary Children's Hospital where, luckily, he was only there for 1 night.  I can't even imagine what my sister and her family were going through during that time when they had no idea how serious his condition was and what the outcome would be, but I do know that the power of prayer is real.  I do know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who listens and cares.  Word was spread through Facebook about what happened and I was amazed to see how many people gave their love and their prayers in behalf of my sister and her little boy.  I am positive that because of all those praying for them, that was why he was able to recover so quickly and walk away from this accident with no long term effects.  I was so happy to be able to go down to Salt Lake and see them before they left to go back home to St. George.  I'm grateful to know that families are forever- to me, that's the greatest gift I could ever ask for.  Miracles are real.  And I'm so grateful Sway is okay :)

This was the only picture I got when we were visiting with them- Walter, Sway, and Nixyn (my niece) with her Grandma
This was only the second time Walter has been with his cousins- but he seems to really like them :)

Happy Birthday To Me!

Yesterday I turned 22! It was a great day- actually a great weekend, because we celebrated on Saturday too :) Jesse took me shopping for a new dress to wear on my birthday and we at Panda Express and had cupcakes with my family on Saturday and then yesterday we went to church and then had a yummy dinner with Jesse's family in Ogden.  Jesse was so sweet to me yesterday and made me a yummy breakfast and then gave me this beauty
It's an infinity necklace with all of our birthstones on it (including baby #2)

And Walter definitely enjoyed all the yummy food and cupcakes :)

I am so lucky to have the family that I have and that I was able to celebrate with all of them!

Update on Baby #2

I have been so awful at updating with this pregnancy.  I can't believe how fast the time is going by! In just 2 1/2 months I will have 2 little boys to take care of- and I have no idea how I'm going to do it. But, whether I am ready or not, it's coming in just 10 short weeks! I have felt much bigger, much hotter, and much more tired this time around.  I'm sure that all has to do with the fact that it is 100 degrees outside every single day and I have a 15 month old to chase around, but I definitely cannot wait to get rid of this huge belly.  I've been very lucky to have no problems so far, I don't even swell like most pregnant, hot people do.  My doctor tells me I am really good at this pregnancy thing because there is never anything exciting to report at my appointments, which is a good thing.  I don't think I'll take his advice and have 8 more kids, though :) We have also pretty much decided on a name- Oliver.  No middle name yet.
And just for fun, here is my little stinker taking selfies on my phone :)

Walter's First Haircut

I decided that I had put off Walter's first haircut for long enough, so yesterday we did it.  He was fine for the first few cuts, but after he realized he was covered in hair, he freaked out.  He's so silly, he cannot stand being dirty in any way.  For my first baby haircut, I would say I did pretty good :) He looks so grown up now! (please excuse my fat belly in some of these pictures)

So handsome!

Gardner Village

Today my Aunt Carolyn and cousin Karlie were here and we decided to go down to Gardner Village with them and then out to lunch at Culvers (yummy!)
I think Walter's favorite part was riding in their van- the windows were low enough for him to look out and see all of the big trucks on the freeway.  He would get so excited and point and shout every time he saw one :)

My mom and aunt were mostly looking for fabric so Walter, Michael, Karlie and I just walked around outside while they were in the fabric store.  They were having a Hawaiian theme all around Gardner Village which made it possible for this beauty of a picture to be taken :)

Luckily Michael is really good about watching and chasing Walter for me, since I'm big and slow and Walter does not do well sitting still in a stroller

I'm Gonna Do Better...

Every day I think about how I should be updating this blog- not that I think anyone really reads it, but I am horrible at journaling and this really is the easiest way for me to make sure I'm documenting my life at least a little bit.  So I have decided to try a different approach, and instead of blogging every few days and writing a ton of stuff down, I will just make myself post at least one picture a day and a short description of what happened during that day- we'll see if it becomes as interesting as I am hoping :)

So for today, here is my sweet boy, who is quickly becoming a big boy- and soon to be big brother :)  He loves his blankie more than anything and has just started loving me reading books to him
